The Rise Up Rockets Operating Referendum Plan
Underwood Public School wants to continue protecting and providing the programs and staff that students rely on every day.
On Tuesday, November 3, voters in the Underwood Public School District will be asked to consider a new operating levy referendum that will raise general education revenue by $1,591 per pupil each year for ten years, with an annual adjustment for inflation so the funding keeps pace with rising costs.
In total, this levy would generate approximately $500,000 in funding for our school, including $225,000 in new state aid.
If voters approve the operating levy:
The district plans to direct these dollars toward its highest priorities:
Protecting manageable class sizes
Keeping essential student programs in place
Retaining experienced teachers and support staff
Maintaining safe, secure buildings.
